Not all users inherently have the permissions to export Jira data. Administrators, however, can grant the necessary permissions for specific Groups to work with the Data Processor for Confluence. This enables these users to create, edit, watch, and export Data Sources. The process involves specific steps that administrators can follow to set up these permissions effectively in their Conflunce Cloud instance.

Please note that admins, system admins, site admins and jira admins have permanent permission to use the addon.

How to Grant Permissions?

  1. While logged into your Confluence Cloud instance, go to the 'Apps' section and select 'Data Processor for Confluence' from the available options.

Permissions for groups are automatically updated upon clicking the checkbox. There is no need for an additional save action. Unchecking the box will similarly remove the permissions immediately. As a confirmation, you'll encounter the pop-up dialogs.

The system doesn't provide a feature to grant permissions to individual users. If you need to give specific permissions to certain users, create a new group and include only those users in it. This way, you can manage permissions more precisely for your team members.

Now that you've set up the necessary permissions, you're ready to explore the capabilities of Data Processor for Confluence.
