Export to JSON

Before exporting data to JSON, make sure you've already set up a Data Source. Creating a Jira API Token isn't necessary for exporting in JSON format, simplifying the process for this specific export type.

To export your Jira data to JSON, follow these steps:

  1. Inside the Data Processor for Jira app Select the ‘Data Sources’ section in the left-side menu, and then choose ‘JSON’ from the list.

  2. In the list, identify the Data Source you want to export. When the 'READY' status is active, proceed by clicking on it to start the export process.

At this stage, you also have the option to edit or delete the Data Source using the three-line button.

Additionally, to ensure your data is up to date, you can use the refresh button, located next to the three-line button, especially if there have been changes in your Jira. This feature helps maintain the accuracy of your data for export.

  1. In the displayed pop-up window, initiate the export process by clicking the 'Download' button found under the Actions section. This action will start the process of downloading your selected data.

  2. To access your Jira data in JSON format, please check the Download folder associated with your browser. The JSON file containing your selected data from Jira should be readily available there for your use.

  3. Once the JSON file is downloaded, you can open it using various viewers or software tools that support JSON format. This file, containing your selected Jira data, can then be utilized for a range of data integration and processing purposes, allowing you to leverage the information in numerous applications and analysis scenarios.
